Arrow offers compact and durable circular connectors for medical applications

Medical connector offering includes sample kits for rapid evaluation

Arrow has announced the availability of a family of high quality circular connectors designed to meet the demanding requirements of compact medical applications. The Amphenol 'medi|mate easy' connectors feature a lightweight and robust plastic medical housing and deliver ease of mating through an integrated push-pull locking mechanism. To help designers rapidly evaluate the connectors Arrow is also offering Amphenol 'medi|mate easy' connector sample kits.

Available with between two and 14 contacts, the new connectors provide robust solutions for a wide range of medical applications including patient monitoring systems, dental equipment, defibrillators and handheld operating units. Laboratory and test and measurement equipment and applications targeted at the growing home diagnostic market will also benefit from the Amphenol 'medi|mate easy' range.

The connectors, which are compatible with industry standard specifications, feature clear colour and mechanical coding and a keying system that ensures safe and simple mating. The standard design is optimised for easy cleaning and disinfection, while versions that are fully compatible with autoclave sterilisation are also available.

The Amphenol 'medi|mate easy' connector range offers cable and inline mounting options and receptacles with front and rear mount options. Gold plated solder contacts are standard and voltage ratings are up to 500V. Lifespan is rated in excess of 3000 mating cycles.
